It is with deep regret that I report the retirement of the e seal wagon. This sturdy comrade was a steady presence for, regretfully, two or three short seasons before suffering catastrophic failure on its way back from the e seal overlook yesterday. As you can see, it suffered a remarkable collapse at a critical welded joint. Thankfully, Sean was with it in its last moments and brought it back to the lighthouse office where we will soon bid adieu to it. But we must move on and if anyone has a sweet, functional jogging stroller they would like to donate, please let me know. Or if you’ve got welding skilz, please let me know.

On a brighter note, we saw 22 whales today, 20 more than yesterday’s total. And I hear tell that D4’s “pink floyd” was visible during a mating attempt. Thank you docents for your service and thanks again for implementing the new safety procedures. We’ll see you soon!
